Remote Mechanical Designer

Job Summary

Supporting an existing full vehicle design, the remote Mechanical Designer will focus on detailed design updates and improvements, utilizing SolidWorks to modify components and ensure manufacturability and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Support design updates for manufacturability, weight reduction, and overall product improvement
• Modify and develop components in SolidWorks, including machined parts, sheet metal, and composites
• Perform GD&T analysis and conduct material compatibility evaluations for critical interfaces

Required qualifications

• Five or more years of mechanical design experience using SolidWorks
• Strong experience with machined parts, sheet metal, or plastic components
• Experience updating existing designs, focusing on detailed design tasks
• Working knowledge of GD&T and basic tolerance analysis
• Exposure to aerospace, aviation, or UAS systems is preferred
