Remote Medical Assistant

Job Summary

To support a growing healthcare initiative, the full-time Remote Medical Assistant will engage with patients to navigate health needs, coordinate care, and document interactions while working remotely and requiring proficiency in French Creole.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain trusting relationships with patients and healthcare providers to facilitate care navigation
• Coordinate referrals, appointments, and resources to address patients' medical, behavioral, and social needs
• Document all patient interactions and assessments accurately in electronic health records and other systems

Required qualifications

• Bilingual in English and French Creole is required
• At least 2-3 years of experience in patient navigation, medical assisting, or care coordination
• Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Community Health Worker, or relevant healthcare degree preferred
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and remote work
• Willingness to obtain Patient Navigation certification within one year if not already certified
