Remote Medical Biller

Job Summary

Detail-oriented and proactive, the remote Medical Biller will manage the complete billing cycle, ensuring accurate submission of claims and facilitating smooth financial operations within the medical practice.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit insurance claims using EMR and EHR systems, ensuring compliance with coding standards
• Review medical records for proper documentation and perform accurate coding for procedures and diagnoses
• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, collaborating with insurance companies and patients to resolve issues

Required qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in medical billing with knowledge of CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG systems
• Experience with Office Ally is required
• Familiarity with EMR and EHR systems used in healthcare settings
• Prior experience in a medical office handling billing processes and patient account management
• Certification or training in medical coding is preferred; familiarity with ICD coding practices is essential
