Job Summary
A molecular diagnostics company has a current position open for a Remote Medical Billing Specialist.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Reviewing/updating patient demographics and information for accuracy
- Managing clean claim auditing
- Working on pre-billing eligibility as well as billing interface reconciliation
Skills and Requirements Include:
- Working knowledge of payment types (i.e. EFT, ERA, EOB, RA)
- Understanding of Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) in relation to State Medicaids
- Experience navigating insurance websites and insurance portals required
- Understanding of State Medicaid Policies and Guidelines
- Working knowledge of appropriate coding systems; CPT, ICD-10 and HCPCS, coverage; LCD/NCD and reimbursement associated with such codes
- HS Degree + minimum of 4 years of direct medical billing/claim submission experience at a diagnostics company, lab or medical device company required
