Job Summary

A company is looking for a Remote Medical Coder.

Key Responsibilities

Assist coders and documentation management staff with complex patient care cases by analyzing documentation and discussing correct code assignment
Review medical records for coding errors and opportunities for education
Serve as a technical expert/resource for accurate and ethical coding and documentation standards

Required Qualifications

University Degree with 4-6 years of relevant experience (experience may substitute for education)
Certification such as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC
Knowledge of Microsoft Suite
Experience in medical coding compliance
Ability to work in a remote environment
