Job Summary

To enhance coding accuracy and compliance, the full-time Remote Medical Coder will review and assign codes to medical records while ensuring adherence to industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyze medical documentation to assign appropriate codes for diagnoses and procedures
• Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations to maintain accuracy in billing
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and improve coding practices

Required qualifications

• Certification as a Medical Coder (CPC, CCS, or equivalent)
• Experience with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
• Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare regulations
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Strong understanding of insurance and billing processes
