Job Summary

A privately-held health technology company has an open position for a Remote Medical Coder.

Core Responsibilities Include:

• Maintaining current working knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 and/or CPT/HCPCS and coding guidelines, government regulations, protocols and third-party requirements regarding coding and/or billing
• Participating in continuing education activities to enhance knowledge, skills, and maintain current credentials.
• Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications Include:

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree from AHIMA certified HIM Program
• Ability to communicate effectively in the English language
• Experience in computerized encoding and abstracting software
• A minimum of 2-5 years of coding experience in a hospital, clinic, and/or coding consulting role
