A healthcare company is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Medical Coder III in Phoenix.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Converting diagnoses and treatment procedures into codes
- Using an international classification of diseases
- Ensuring that records are coded in an accurate and timely manner
Skills and Requirements Include:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- AHIMA credential of RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CCA
- 1 or more years of previous acute care hospital coding experience
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy and physiology
- Experience in hospital outpatient procedural coding including interventional radiology
- Knowledge of diagnoses/procedures in accordance with ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding principles
