Job Summary
A health insurance company has an open position for a Remote Medical Coding Auditor.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Analyze medical claims data and associated documentation
- Evaluate coding and documentation behavior and identify recommendations
- Interpret and apply policy and coding standards
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Bachelor's degree or four (4) years of work experience
- 3 years of experience as a RHIA, RHIT or CPC certified coder in health care provider organization or insurance company
- Current certification as a professional coder (RHIA, RHIT or CPC)
- CCSP, CCS-H CPC-P and CPH-H certification
- CRC or willingness to obtain within first year of employment
- Nursing or other clinical experience
