Remote Medical Coding Education Specialist

Job Summary

A medical group is filling a position for a Remote Medical Coding Education Specialist.

Core Responsibilities Include:

• Training new coding hires and providing education to existing coding staff
• Participating in the monthly pre-dispute and dispute process
• Researching new coding topics or issues

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• RHIT, RN, CPC or CCS-P accreditation
• Knowledge of and experience using ICD-10-CM and CPT coding
• Knowledge of and skill in using personal computers in a Windows environment
• Knowledge of payor and coding guidelines
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
