Job Summary
A medical group is filling a position for a Remote Medical Coding Education Specialist.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Training new coding hires and providing education to existing coding staff
- Participating in the monthly pre-dispute and dispute process
- Researching new coding topics or issues
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- RHIT, RN, CPC or CCS-P accreditation
- Knowledge of and experience using ICD-10-CM and CPT coding
- Knowledge of and skill in using personal computers in a Windows environment
- Knowledge of payor and coding guidelines
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
