Job Summary
An academic health system of hospitals is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Medical Coding Quality Review Educator.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Responding to coding-related questions from HSC coding staff
- Leading, coordinating and performing all functions of quality reviews for inpatient and outpatient coding
- Providing Coding Integrity Specialist and CQR education as needed
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- High School graduate or GED equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years acute care inpatient/outpatient coding experience
- RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC
- Extensive regulatory coding and associated reimbursement knowledge
- Adaptability to major changes in work responsibilities or environment
- Initiative - independently takes prompt proactive steps toward problem resolution
