Job Summary

A healthcare company has a current position open for a Remote Medical Coding Specialist in Newtown in Square.

Core Responsibilities Include:

• Reviewing and analyzing inpatient, outpatient, and provider billing
• Applying recommendation of national coding and regulation standards
• Preparing clear, concise and legible findings

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• Current nursing certification and/or current certified coder, RHIA/RHIT
• 2 years experience in direct patient care, medical procedure billing, etc
• Knowledge of inpatient/outpatient hospital billing requirement
• Knowledge of professional claim billing requirements
• Knowledge of payer reimbursement policies, state and federal regulations, etc
• Knowledge of commonly used medical data resources such as MDR, Medical Fees in the US, etc
