Job Summary
A health insurance company needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Medical Director.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Administering medical services for company health plans including the overall medical policies of the business unit
- Interpreting existing policies and developing new policies based on changes in the healthcare or medical arena
- Leading, developing, directing and implementing clinical and non-clinical activities that impact health care quality cost and outcomes
Skills and Requirements Include:
- MD or DO
- Board certification approved by the American Board of Medical Specialties
- Possession of an active unrestricted medical license to practice medicine or a health profession
- Ability to obtain KY and LA licenses (expenses will be reimbursed by employer)
- 5+ years of clinical experience or any combination of education and experience
- Ability to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis
