Job Summary

A health insurance company needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Medical Director.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Administering medical services for company health plans including the overall medical policies of the business unit
• Interpreting existing policies and developing new policies based on changes in the healthcare or medical arena
• Leading, developing, directing and implementing clinical and non-clinical activities that impact health care quality cost and outcomes

Skills and Requirements Include:

• MD or DO
• Board certification approved by the American Board of Medical Specialties
• Possession of an active unrestricted medical license to practice medicine or a health profession
• Ability to obtain KY and LA licenses (expenses will be reimbursed by employer)
• 5+ years of clinical experience or any combination of education and experience
• Ability to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis
