Detail-oriented and passionate about patient care, the full-time Remote Medical Insurance Verification Specialist will verify insurance coverage for prescription medications, assist patients in obtaining benefits information, and make calls to various stakeholders while working from home.
Key responsibilities
- Verify insurance coverage for prescription medications and assist patients with benefits information
- Make inbound and outbound calls to patients, payors, and insurance companies on behalf of patients
- Maintain accurate records and follow HIPAA regulations while meeting call center performance metrics
Required qualifications
- At least 1 year of recent medical insurance verification or benefits experience
- Previous experience in prior authorization and claims, with knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- Must have a quiet, secure location at home to work
