Job Summary
Detail-oriented and customer-focused, the full-time Remote Medical Insurance Verification Specialist will assist patients in obtaining coverage for prescription medications through inbound and outbound calls while working from home.
Key responsibilities
- Assist patients with obtaining coverage for prescription medications
- Utilize call center software to complete account research and update notes
- Place calls to insurance companies on behalf of patient needs while adhering to call center metrics and HIPAA regulations
Required qualifications
- At least 1 year of recent medical insurance verification or benefits experience
- Previous experience in prior authorization and claims, with knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- Must have a quiet, secure location at home to work
- High-speed internet with hardwired modem access (no hotspots accepted)
- Computer proficiency with the ability to learn new software and navigate multiple screens
