Remote Medical Insurance Specialist
Job Summary
Detail-oriented and customer-focused, the full-time Remote Medical Insurance Verification Specialist will assist patients in obtaining coverage for prescription medications while working from home during assigned shifts between 8 AM and 9 PM EST.
Key responsibilities
- Assist patients with obtaining coverage for prescription medications through inbound and outbound calls
- Utilize call center software to conduct account research and update notes
- Place calls to insurance companies on behalf of patients and adhere to call center metrics and HIPAA regulations
Required qualifications
- At least 1 year of recent medical insurance verification or benefits experience
- Knowledge of prior authorization, claims, and HIPAA regulations
- Ability to work from a quiet and secure location at home with high-speed internet and hardwired modem access
- Computer proficiency with the ability to learn new software and navigate multiple screens
- Previous call center experience is recommended but not required
