Job Summary
Detail-oriented and customer-focused, the full-time Remote Medical Insurance Verification Specialist will assist patients in obtaining coverage for prescription medications while managing inbound and outbound calls and utilizing call center software to update account information.
Key responsibilities
- Assist patients with obtaining coverage for prescription medications
- Manage inbound/outbound calls to patients, guarantors, payors, and payees
- Utilize call center software to complete account research and update notes
Required qualifications
- At least 1 year of recent medical insurance verification or benefits experience
- Knowledge of prior authorization, claims, and HIPAA regulations
- Must have a quiet, secure location in home to work
- High-speed internet with hardwired modem access (no hotspots accepted)
- Computer proficiency and ability to learn new software
