Detail-oriented and customer-focused, the full-time Remote Medical Insurance Verification Specialist will assist patients in obtaining coverage for prescription medications through inbound and outbound calls, utilizing call center software, and ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Assist patients with obtaining coverage for prescription medications
- Make inbound and outbound calls to patients, guarantors, payors, and payees
- Utilize call center software to research accounts and update notes
Required qualifications
- At least 1 year of recent medical insurance verification or benefits experience
- Prior experience in prior authorization and claims, with knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- Must have a quiet, secure location at home to work
- High-speed internet with hardwired modem access (no hotspots accepted)
