Remote Medical Order Specialist

Job Summary

Detail-oriented and organized, the remote Medical Order Specialist will review and process changes to existing patient orders, validate prescriptions, verify insurance coverage, and ensure timely shipment of medical supplies in a full-time capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Review and process changes to existing patient orders for accuracy and compliance
• Validate prescription accuracy and manage documentation requirements
• Verify insurance coverage and submit or follow up on authorizations

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of healthcare administrative, order processing, or insurance experience
• High school diploma or GED required
• Home health, DME, or enteral experience preferred
• Knowledge of insurance authorization processes is a plus
