Job Summary
A healthcare services provider has an open position for a Remote Medical Payments Refund Specialist in Colorado Springs.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Identifying credit balances due to electronic or manual insurance overpayments and patient overpayments
- Investigating and resolving assigned credit balance accounts by ticketing system, credit balance tickler or emails
- Issuing patient and insurance refunds
Skills and Requirements Include:
- Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Three plus years’ experience working with credit balances from electronic/manual EOBs
- Three plus years’ experience in medical billing & refunding insurances and/or patients’ accounts
- Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player
- Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately
- Strong communication skills & professional demeanor
