Job Summary

A health insurance company has an open position for a Remote Medical Principal Data Engineer.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Developing and maintaining optimal data pipeline architecture
  • Adhering to good code practices within an agile environment with a DevOps approach
  • Identifying, designing, and implementing internal process improvements

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical field
  • 7+ years of experience building complex data pipelines or ETLs in large scale big Data platforms or data lakes
  • 7+ years of programming experience with Python or Scala
  • 7+ years of experience with Data modeling and SQL
  • 5+ years of experience with Databricks, Spark or similar tools
  • 3+ years of Experience working in cloud environments such as GCP, Azure or AWS
