Job Summary
A privately-held healthcare technology solutions company has an open position for a Remote Medical Prior Authorization Specialist.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Following prior authorization workflow policies and procedures
- Collaborating with other departments to assist in obtaining prior authorizations.
- Reviewing accuracy and completeness of information requested and ensuring that all supporting documents are present
Required Skills:
- 2+ years of related experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Understanding of CPT codes and vast knowledge of insurance
- Excellent verbal, written, organizational and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and be flexible
- Ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently when entering data electronically
