Job Summary
An information technology services company has a current position open for a Remote Medical Records Abstractor.
Must be able to:
- Cross checking of patient demographics for accurate patient identification
- Correct data entry of patient data
- Perform timely and efficient abstraction of medical record charts
Skills and Requirements Include:
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook
- Demonstrates proficiency in computer fundamentals and applications; able to learn new computer applications
- Must have proactive and clear communication skills with team members and leadership
- 1+ years' experience in clinical data abstraction and coding; or 3+ years' experience as a healthcare professional
- Preference given to candidates with advanced clinical degree; having worked in a clinical setting
