Job Summary
A medical scribe company is seeking a Remote Medical Scribe.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Accompanying physician and patients’ examinations virtually and documenting patient information into the EMR during the patient encounter (history, chief complaint, review of systems, physical exam)
- Successfully operating the EMR to document any procedures performed by the physician, as well as patient orders including laboratory tests, radiology tests, medications, etc
- Exhibiting excellence in medical terminology and billing and coding knowledge in all documentation
Qualifications for this position include:
- Ability to achieve a typing test score of 50+ WPM
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Current undergrad students must have at least 60 credits with a minimum GPA of 3.2
- Computer literacy, efficiency, and troubleshooting
- Ability to grasp new concepts quickly and efficiently and work as part of a team
- Ability to maintain confidentiality standards while accessing or communicating patient information that adheres to HIPAA and company policies
