Job Summary

An education company is in need of a Remote Middle School English Language Arts Teacher.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

• Conducting live Synchronous Teaching - minimum of 15 hours per week
• Taking ownership for student's academic progress and attendance
• Preparing students for high stakes standardized tests

Skills and Requirements Include:

• Ability to travel as required (on average once per month and/or approximately 10% of the time)
• Bachelor's degree
• 6 months of student teaching experience
• Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes
• Pedagogical knowledge of content being taught and ability to apply critical thinking
• Meet requirements for Highly Qualified Teacher (HQT) in subject area under No Child Left Behind (NCLB)
