Job Summary

An online education company is filling a position for a Remote Middle School Substitute Teacher.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Taking ownership for students’ academic progress and attendance
• Preparing students for high stakes standardized tests
• Conducting live synchronous teaching

Position Requirements Include:

• Ability to travel as required on average once per month and/or approximately 10% of the time
• Bachelor's degree and 6 months of student teaching experience
• Meet requirements for Highly Qualified Teacher in subject area under No Child Left Behind
• Pedagogical knowledge of content being taught and ability to apply critical thinking
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word; PowerPoint
• Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms
