Job Summary

A magazine publisher is filling a position for a Remote Military - Defense - National Security Writer.

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Writing 4-5 short posts daily relating to defense and military issues
  • Writing articles between 400 and 650 words each
  • Working between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm (EST) Monday-Friday

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1+ years experience writing for a publication in some capacity
  • Interest in and understanding of military hardware and strategy
  • Ability to break news and cover timely events
  • Ability to write clearly, intelligently, and thoughtfully on short deadlines
  • Ability to cover breaking news at odd hours if needed
