Job Summary
An energy company is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Modeling Software Engineer in Oakland.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Writing well-structured, production level software
- Building and maintaining our core product, an API and software suite
- Creating plant-level dispatch models of expected power generation/emissions
Position Requirements Include:
- Master’s degree (most likely in a computer science, engineering or finance field) or 2 years of equivalent experience
- Fluency in Python and ability to model real-world physical systems
- Resourcefulness: you’re equally comfortable coming up with ways to make it work as you are asking for what you need
