Job Summary

A staffing firm has a current position open for a Remote Mortgage Loan Underwriter in Chula Vista.

Must be able to:

  • Review and analyze loan applicant credit histories, financial statements, and other financial information
  • Interpret and analyze complex tax returns and financial documents
  • Utilize and Interpret output from DO, LP and GUS underwriting systems

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • Must have DE Underwriter designation
  • Must be detailed in loan approval rationale including income and asset calculations clearly noted
  • Must be able to review legal documentation, title reports, insurance policies, flood certificates
  • Maintain knowledge of available loan products, program, and functionality and investor guidelines
  • Must be trustworthy and maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • High School graduate or GED with 4-5 years mortgage experience
