Job Summary
A multi-state community-focused bank is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Mortgage Underwriter in Amherst.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Underwriting conventional (conforming and non-conforming) residential mortgage loans
- Ensuring loans are in compliance with investor requirements, federal and state laws and regulations
- Performing risk assessment of credit and collateral ensuring loan saleability and sound credit quality
Qualifications for this position include:
- Associates degree or 2 years relevant experience
- Three years mortgage processing/underwriting experience
- Comfortable working remotely
