Remote Mortgage Underwriter in Austin

Job Summary

A homebuilder is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Mortgage Underwriter in Austin.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Receiving daily loans for underwriting that have been assigned by the Regional Underwriting Manager
• Maintaining responsibility for the underwriting of manual loans or the validation of automated findings on government loans
• Prioritizing RUSH’s, Collateral Underwriter conditions, and newly submitted loans

Qualifications Include:

• High school diploma or general education degree
• One to two years of experience in the mortgage industry
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications
• Proficiency with MS Office and email
