Job Summary

A staffing and recruitment agency is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Mortgage Underwriter in Houston.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Utilize strong knowledge of Conventional, FHA, and VA loans to best assist clients through their home buying process
  • Communicate with clients regarding the approval (or denial) of mortgage loans
  • Oversee at least one direct report

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

  • Work-from-home 80% of the time and will need to have an office-presence the other 20% of the time
  • 3+ years of underwriting experience in the mortgage industry
  • Calyx and/or Encompass Software experience is a huge plus
