Job Summary
A privately-held, non-bank mortgage lending company is in need of a Remote Mortgage Underwriter in Scottsdale.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Meeting all quality metrics as communicated by management
- Sustaining proficiency in all investor and company guidelines
- Assisting with renegotiation of loans base on credit guidelines
Skills and Requirements Include:
- 3+ years experience Underwriting FHA, VA and USDA loans
- Review loan application and documents in accordance with Fannie, Freddie guidelines
- Thorough understanding of Government (FHA, VA) and Conventional (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac)
- Strong analytical skills and decision-making ability to make lending decisions and translate guidelines
- The ability to work independently and as a team; ability to garner support and collaborate with others
- The ability to motivate and encourage team and peers
