Job Summary
A national advocacy and services organization that has been looking out for LGBT elders has a current position open for a Remote National LGBT Elder Housing Initiative Assistant Director.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Supporting the execution of the company's long-term vision to create and expand LGBT elder housing
- Leading, co-leading, and/or supporting the NHI Director in planning and implementation of national and regional convenings
- Conducting community engagement and cultivating new relationships, connecting local housing work to broader national work
Qualifications Include:
- Ability to accommodate some travel to different parts of the country
- Bachelor’s Degree (May be waived if the applicant possesses relevant expertise or experience)
- Demonstrated deep subject matter expertise and connections in the affordable housing sector
- Experience in organizing symposia or conferences
- Experience in conducting technical assistance, trainings, workshops, or other forms of public education
- Experience in community engagement, relationship-building, or coalition-building with a diverse range of stakeholders
