Job Summary

A national laboratory is seeking a Remote Networking Research Engineer in the Bay Area.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Lead investigations into emerging technologies and determine their viability
  • Participate as a member of an interdisciplinary team in gathering requirements
  • Take on the role of Principal Investigator for research grants

Position Requirements Include:

  • PhD and 12 years of experience in computer network R&D, or combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and testing network services
  • Experience writing software code using two or more of the following: Python, Go, Java, C/C++, or Javascript
  • Experience with network storage and high performance data transfer
  • Experience with wireless cellular networking
  • Experience with quantum networking
