Remote Neurology Medical Coder

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Remote Neurology Medical Coder will review clinical documentation and diagnostic results to assign accurate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for billing, reporting, and compliance.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform accurate coding of medical records using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines
• Ensure appropriate coding of documented services and obtain clarification for incomplete documentation
• Review and communicate coding corrections, re-bills, and denials in a timely manner

Required qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of professional coding experience in neurology clinic coding
• CPC certification from AAPC
• High school diploma
• EMR experience
• Strong knowledge of federal and state coding regulations and guidelines
