Job Summary

A non-profit media organization has a current position open for a Remote News Applications Product Developer.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Improving and maintaining the integration of our core site with our stand-alone sites and applications
  • Working with both teams to extend the functionality of our internal publishing tools, libraries, templates, etc
  • Working on innovative and meaningful data-journalism projects

Qualifications Include:

  • A track record of excellence in developing performant, robust software
  • Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and cloud hosting platforms like AWS
  • Fluency in modern and widely supported front- and back-end programming languages
  • Comfort in solving the fast-paced problems of a newsroom
  • Skill at writing technical documentation others can follow
