Job Summary

Our nonprofit is dedicated to stopping child maltreatment before it happens. We are growing quickly and need an experienced remote project manager who is exceptional at communication, stakeholder engagement, building community collaboration, and follow through.

Essential Project Management Skills / Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 10 years direct project management experience with increasingly complex responsibilities including supervisory duties.

Experience in non-profit and/or child or social welfare at a state or national level is a plus but not required.

Must be able to deal with extreme multitasking and have exceptional attention to detail.

Demonstrated effective project management skills - especially planning and directing work efforts and motivating teammates/community resources.

Demonstrated ability to effectively track, analyze and trend project schedules to ensure successful and timely completion.

Demonstrated success translating objectives into project plans.

Work with client's resources, other project managers, and staff to create action plans, monitor timelines, plan benchmarks, checkpoints, and measurements.

Create progress reports and communicate with stakeholders.

Help to document lessons learned and chronicle the overall experience throughout project implementation process.

Celebrate successes: be a motivational manager.

Essential Soft Skills:
You will work with child welfare agencies throughout our country to implement child maltreatment prevention programs, both remote and on client's site. The ideal candidate would have experience with coalition building and directing alignment of community resources.

You should have:
Great communication and organizational skills (soft skills are very important in this role)

A demonstrated ability to cultivate stakeholders to build steering committees and provide leadership. Experience in high-level meeting facilitation is a plus.

Experience with change management and dealing with resistance.

You should be able to motivate others, identify and recruit individuals to help implement programs for child maltreatment prevention: empowering local cross-sector champions in social services/child welfare.

You should be an exceptional trainer. You will need to educate others to understand their network of community resources and share best practices in driving social service intramural and extramural alignment.

Extreme diplomacy and professionalism are required. Sectors you will be working with include city, state, and federal government, public health, the faith community, education, philanthropists, foster care, legal aid, police, first responders, etc.

At ease with public speaking and presentation; grace under pressure with a sense of humor.

Nice to Have:
Clinical / Research Background: Experience with data sharing agreements, IRB processes, data security requirements is a plus.

PMP Certification or equivalent

Important Role Details:
There will be travel required in this role. The exact amount will vary depending on client needs and program roll-out schedules - the ideal candidate must be flexible regarding travel.

Initially, this will be a contract position.
