Job Summary
A managed care and cost-containment support company is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Nurse Case Manager.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, coordinate, monitor, evaluate and implement services to facilitate timely medical care and return to work outcomes of injured workers
- Assess utilization of medical treatment available through contact with physicians and specialists
- Review medical records and assess data to ensure appropriate case management process
Qualifications for this position include:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and possess a current RN license
- Applicable state certifications and/or licensures in the state where job duties are performed
- Working knowledge of medical and vocational resources available to the Workers’ Compensation industry
- Knowledge of principle insurance, Worker’s Compensation laws, disability systems, and/or the Dictionary of Occupational Titles (DOT)
- Interpersonal skills
- Self-motivation and the ability to perform case management duties independently
