Job Summary
A healthcare company has an open position for a Remote Nutrition Specialist Coach.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Engage, and retain members in active participation in the company's program as well as to coordinate nutrition-related member care
- Utilize motivational interviewing and a member-centric care approach to engage and communicate with members telephonically
- Work collaboratively with members to assist them in setting goals related to nutrition and eating behaviors
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Certification as a health care coach from one of these National Board for Health & Wellness Coaches (NBHWC) approved programs
- NBHWC certification exam must be passed within 1 year of employment if the program is complete, but the exam is pending
- Eligibility to sit for the NBHWC exam including having completed the required 50 health and wellness coaching sessions
- Nutrition Certification from a nationally recognized program or a Graduate certificate in Nutrition with 12 or more graduate credits
- Ability to provide exemplary customer service to and member-centric focus for, all clients
- Ability to coach to a behavior change using motivational interviewing
