Job Summary
Serving as the primary contact for new members transitioning to a health plan, the full-time Remote Onboarding Specialist will manage telephonic outreach, educate members on health plan offerings, and coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct telephonic outreach to new members, addressing their questions and concerns while advocating for their needs
- Document members' current healthcare services and new service requests, ensuring a smooth transition to the health plan
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to engage members and encourage participation in the onboarding process
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience in call center and/or Medicare/Medicaid plan
- Five years of relevant experience, including one year in outreach or community work with individuals facing complex challenges
- Experience in a multi-cultural setting and using motivational interviewing techniques
- Familiarity with electronic medical record and care management systems is preferred
- Demonstrated understanding of the community served and strong interpersonal skills
