Job Summary
Supporting the VA ESOM contract, the full-time Remote Operational Resilience Engineer will identify and evaluate non-cyber technology and operational risks affecting application recovery, collaborating with system owners to define corrective actions while working remotely within the United States.
Key responsibilities
- Identify technology, process, staffing, facility, vendor, and dependency risks that could affect application recovery
- Review application architectures and assess recovery strategies against approved objectives
- Develop tabletop scenarios and facilitate technical discussions to validate recovery capabilities
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 10 years of relevant experience, with the possibility of substituting additional experience for education
- Experience in systems engineering, application architecture, or disaster recovery
- Knowledge of cloud and on-premises platforms, networking, and application integration
- Understanding of recovery time and recovery point objectives
