Job Summary

A nonprofit healthcare system needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Orthopedic Surgery and Trauma Physician Coder Specialist in New Orleans.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

• Accurately assign ICD-10, CPT and/or HCPCS codes
• Ensure the data integrity of coded patient records
• Act as a resource by researching patient accounts

Qualifications for this position include:

• 1 year of coding experience
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must have computer skills and dexterity
• Must be proficient with Windows-style applications
• Knowledge of ICD-9-CM, ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS and coding principles
