Job Summary
A healthcare company is in need of a Remote Outpatient Behavioral Health Services Medical Director in Silver Spring.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Provide outpatient psychiatric services at all levels of complexity including Initial psychiatric diagnostic assessments
- Perform care coordination with internal and external sources as required
- Provide education to patients & families about active conditions, recommended treatments, medication side effects, etc
Qualifications for this position include:
- Board-certification in psychiatry, and experience with outpatient psychiatry and quality improvement initiatives required
- Leadership experience or a strong interest in leadership development required
- Comfort being a prominent member of the medical staff required
- Be available for clinical escalation during emergencies
- Ability to serve as the point person for psychiatric topics, both clinical and administrative
