Job Summary
A health information management company has a current position open for a Remote Outpatient Coder.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Coding all diagnostic and operative information from the medical record
- Meeting coding and abstracting productivity/quality standards
- Participating in medical record documentation auditing
Position Requirements Include:
- Completed an accredited coding program or 1+ year of continuous coding/abstracting experience
- A passing score on the coding test for an Outpatient/Ambulatory Coder
- Successfully passing the coding test is required regardless of experience
- Demonstrated ability to understand the clinical contents of a health record
- Must be able to meet quantity and quality standards
- Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, and disease processes
