Job Summary

A healthcare consulting and services company has a current position open for a Remote Outpatient Coder.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Ensuring accurate coding of the clinically documented care within medical records
• Utilizing industry coding guidelines along with specialized medical classification software
• Assigning procedure and diagnosis codes for insurance billing

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• AHIMA credentialed
• Minimum of two years of hospital outpatient coding experience coding in ICD and CPT
• Satisfactory completion of e4 ICD-10-CM test - 85 or above on CM
• Proficiency in MS Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Solid knowledge of hospital outpatient documentation, charging, and coding workflows and terminology
• Self-starter with strong interpersonal, analytical and critical thinking skills
