Job Summary

A healthcare company has an open position for a Remote Outpatient Coder I.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Coding and abstracting outpatient records
  • Coding and entering diagnostic and procedure codes
  • Meeting qualitative and quantitative coding standards

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years coding experience
  • Competency in outpatient coding guidelines and APC assignment
  • Intermediate to advanced technical coding competency IN
  • ICD-10 CM, CPT-4, HCPCS and Coding Modifiers
  • Knowledge of disease management and other healthcare areas listed by company
