Job Summary
An academic health system is seeking a Remote Outpatient Coder III.
Must be able to:
- Assure the highest level of data integrity, denial avoidance due to coding
- Perform data entry into electronic databases for use in assessing the quality of patient care
- Communicate coding and documentation requirements to clinicians
Skills and Requirements Include:
- Must be able to work various hours & locations based on business needs
- Graduation from High School or GED; or equivalent experience
- Must have coding knowledge or two (2) years of experience in acute care setting
- Demonstrated coding experience with outpatient surgery and emergency room records
- Must maintain credentials by attending regular education sessions
- Must be able to work overtime if required
