Job Summary

A health information management company is filling a position for a Remote Outpatient Coding Consultant in Atlanta.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Reviewing medical records and assigning accurate codes
• Maintaining 95% coding accuracy rate
• Assigning the appropriate discharge disposition

Required Skills:

• Ability to travel when necessary; attend education meetings/in-services
• Associate or Bachelor's degree from AHIMA certified HIM or Nursing Program
• Completion of certificate program with CCS, CPC or CCSP can substitute above education
• Must be able to communicate effectively in the English language
• 1-5 years coding experience in a hospital and/or coding consulting role
• Must pass annual Introductory HIPAA examination and other annual testing
