Job Summary

A staffing company has a current position open for a Remote Outpatient Coding Consultant in Remote.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

• Reviewing medical records and assigns accurate codes for diagnoses and procedures
• Abstracting and entering the coded data for hospital statistical and reporting requirements
• Assigning the appropriate discharge disposition

Required Skills:

• Willing and able to travel when necessary if applicable
• One to five years of coding experience in a hospital and/or coding consulting role
• Associate or Bachelor' degree from AHIMA certified HIM Program or Nursing Program
• Complies with all HIM Division Policies
• Must have excellent communications skills- email and verbal
• Strong organizational and teamwork skills
